Poroiwi Education Grant
POROIWI EDUCATION GRANT 2026 IS NOW OPEN
Te Rūnanga a Rangitāne o Wairau Trust is committed to supporting the educational aspirations of our tamariki and rangatahi.
Through the Poroiwi Education Grant, whānau can access up to $75 per child at the beginning of the school year to help with school fees, stationery, school uniform or other education-related costs.
This year, we’ve made applying easier. There are no forms to download, print, scan or return. Simply complete our online application form, which should only take a few minutes.
Who can apply?
The grant is available to parents or legal guardians of tamariki and rangatahi who:
- are enrolled in primary, intermediate or secondary school for 2027; and
- are verified Rangitāne o Wairau members, with both the parent/legal guardian and child having a membership number on the Te Rūnanga a Rangitāne o Wairau Trust database.
Before you apply
If we need to verify your bank account details before payment can be made, we will contact you within 5 working days of receiving your application.
Applications close 10 December 2026
Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted, so we encourage whānau to get their applications in early.
